Built in Switzerland · EU hosting · No US data transfer
Swiss nLPD compliance
without a lawyer on retainer.
Helvadata helps Swiss SMEs implement the revised Data Protection Act (revDSG / FADP) — a living record of processing, subject-request portal, breach workflow, and training. Price that a 50-person company can actually pay.
Early access · No charge during discovery phase · 5 conversations away from the MVP
We are in the discovery phase.
Right now we are speaking with 5 operationally responsible people at Swiss SMEs, before we write another line of code. No sales pitch — we listen, you share your reality. In return: free access once the product ships.
The Swiss nLPD problem for SMEs
Since September 2023 every Swiss company that processes personal data has to keep a Record of Processing Activities, respond to subject requests, manage data processor agreements, and document breaches. Most SMEs with 10–250 employees are stuck between two bad options.
- 1
A lawyer retainer: CHF 5,000–20,000 per year for a consultation you use twice.
- 2
An enterprise platform like OneTrust: USD 50–500K per year, built for multinationals.
- 3
A Word template nobody updates, hoping the FDPIC never asks.
How Helvadata works
One compact workflow, built around the four legal obligations Swiss SMEs actually face.
1. Auto-generated Record of Processing
Answer a short guided interview. Helvadata drafts a compliant RoPA in German, French, Italian, English — versioned, auditable, editable.
2. Subject-request portal
One public link per company for access / rectification / deletion requests. Deadlines, replies, and audit trail handled automatically.
3. Breach workflow
When something goes wrong, a guided 72-hour workflow produces the FDPIC notification and affected-person letters.
4. Processor contract library
DPA templates for AWS, Microsoft, Google, OpenAI, your payroll provider. Pre-mapped to Swiss and EU requirements.

- Swiss SMEs with 10–250 employees that process personal data in normal operations

Frequently asked questions
Is Helvadata hosted in Switzerland?
Helvadata is a Swiss company. Application hosting is on EU infrastructure (Frankfurt) with no US data transfer. We are migrating to full Swiss hosting (Infomaniak / Exoscale) for the data plane in Q3 2026 — existing customers migrate free of charge.
Do I still need a lawyer?
Yes, for any complex legal question or dispute. Helvadata replaces the routine documentation, portal, and workflow work that a lawyer should not be doing at CHF 400/hour. Many of our partner lawyers refer clients to us and handle the edge cases in parallel.
What about GDPR?
If you do business with EU residents, your GDPR obligations are mostly the same as Swiss nLPD. Helvadata's records are cross-mapped GDPR/nLPD so you do not maintain two versions.
Can I export my data if I leave?
Yes. Every record, contract, and audit entry is exportable as PDF and JSON. No lock-in.
Who runs Helvadata?
Helvadata is a small Swiss software team. We are in the discovery phase and speak with every customer personally. Long-form bio and team page come in Q2 2026.
